Competition
Jamie first competed as an orange belt (7th Kyu), in the East Midlands Wado Competition, and won 3rd for Kata. After tasting some success and practicing hard Jamie went on to become National Kata Champion several times. Jamie has also won various medals for Kumite (fighting).
In August 2005 Jamie competed successfully in the World Wado Cup in Tokyo, Japan for Kumite and Kata. In November 2006 Jamie became the European Wado-Kai Kata Champion.
After achieving great success in competitions, Jamie would like to pass on his ability, knowledge and encouragement to his own students. Hopefully one day, they too can join the Wado-Kai England Squad and achieve something brilliant!
Japan
In 2005, after competing in the World Wado Cup, Jamie stayed in Japan for nearly 3 months. He trained with many of the top Instructors in Japan. This was an amazing experience. Jamie developed a love for Japan and frequently visits.
